This is a recipe Bonnie Wilson Fraelich, Maxine’s sister, was always asked to bring to family get-togethers.

Ingredients

¾ cup pecans, finely chopped
1 unbaked pastry shell
4 eggs
½ cup sugar
½ tsp salt
1 ¼ cups dark corn syrup
½ cup butter or margarine, melted and cooled
1 tsp vanilla

Directions

Sprinkle pecans in the pastry shell.
Beat eggs slightly.
Beat in sugar, salt, dark corn syrup, melted butter or margarine and vanilla.
Pour into the pastry shell.
Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
