The Story Behind It

I remember this recipe from the Baker Family Reunions, and I believe Karen Skogen gave me the recipe. If I am wrong, it still was another family member! ☺

Ingredients

1 cup sugar
1 cup white corn syrup
1 cup peanut butter
6 cups Special K cereal
Frosting
1 (12 oz) package chocolate chips
1 (12 oz) package butterscotch chips
1 (6 oz) package Reese’s peanut butter chips

Directions

Bring sugar and white corn syrup to a boil.
Add peanut butter and remove from heat.
Pour over Special K cereal in a large mixing bowl and mix well.
Press into a buttered 9 × 13-inch pan.
Melt chocolate chips, butterscotch chips and peanut butter chips together.
Spread frosting over the bars.
